You could almost hear the smiles on the little boy’s face as he ran up behind his mother, so excited to scare her with a big bear hug. It’s almost as if time stood still in that moment. The pure joy and bliss of a young child filling the air and the love of a mother smirking and playing along with her sons’ excitement.

I was always told a mother knows her child best, but never fully understood that sentiment until I became a mother myself. A mother really does know every freckle, every hair, every cry, every mood, and every look. Motherhood is one of the hardest and most rewarding things I have ever done, and I love capturing all the beautiful and messy moments for my mamas so they can look back and appreciate the journey from a different perspective. 

Rebekah and her little boy brought some BIG energy and all the charisma to our session. They were two peas in a pod, playing off each other’s energy, and hamming it up in front of the camera. I couldn’t stop photographing them. It was so fun watching them behind the lens and capturing these beautiful, playful and fleeting moments.

I hope Rebekah and her little man cherish these photos and smile down upon them for many years.
