Deep belly laughs and happy screams filled the house, I am sprinting circles around the house carrying Tay with large dinosaur dad stomps not far behind. This was the nightly pre-bedtime event, and we were all in. 

Aside from our nightly marathons, one of my favorite memories of Chris from this year was when we were in Pismo Beach, and he started the morning off with ‘please keep your boots on’ to ending up waist deep in the ocean jumping waves and doing ALLLL the things to make Tay laugh. The more she laughed, the sillier he got.

That is one of the many things I love about Chris. His ability to make everyone laugh. He doesn’t care if it’s with him or at him. He thrives on laughter. Chris brings this lightheartedness to life that makes it so much fun. There is rarely a dull moment in our house, and he’s usually the one leading the charade.

This past year has flown by, and a lot has changed for Chris. BIG changes. But, he has taken them in stride. It doesn’t mean it didn’t come with some lows, but he gathered himself and stepped up to the challenge and is excelling further than anything I could have imagined. The support Chris brings to this family is beyond measure, and quite frankly, he keeps the machine well oiled, and I am forever grateful for him and all he does.

Here’s to another trip around the sun on this rollercoaster we call life. I can’t imagine laughing my way through it with anyone else.
