There’s something so inspiring about spring . The fresh air, the breath of new life, flowers blooming, and watching nature show off as it wakes up from a winter slumber. It is the light at the end of the tunnel after a long dark and rainy winter.
If I were to define Rachel in one word, it would be spring. She is a rainbow after the storm and warm sunshine on your face. She has this positive energy and warmth about her that sparks an instant connection. Her spontaneity is infectious and she certainly does not miss out on anything life has to offer. This woman blooms wherever she is placed and changes so many lives in the process.
Rachel taught me the phrase ’Shinrin-yoku’, or forest bathing, where one reconnects with nature and ultimately with your mind, body, senses, feelings and emotions. Photographing her under a canopy of cherry blossoms was a shinrin-yoku experience in and of itself. She was a flower bathing among the flowers, each shining in their own qualities, complimenting each other to make a perfect unison. Every time I look at these photos from our session, I get an internal sense of peace.
Keep shining your light girlfriend. It looks good on you.
